Back in August 2017 we had the absolute pleasure of creating the floral designs for the wedding of Lois and Lee. Married at St Elizabeth's, Ministeracres they then moved to the Derwent Manor Hotel, Allensford for the reception.
When I first met with Lois for her initial consultation she had so many ideas for flowers that she was struggling to choose a specific, cohesive design and so after several telephone calls, venue visits, emails and chats we managed to agree on a beautiful selection of flowers for the day.
On the day of the wedding we started off by visiting Lois at her mum's house where we handed over her bouquet along with the bridesmaids bouquets and corsages. This one of my favourite parts of the day, seeing the bride view her flowers for the very first time. More often than not there are tears and Lois and her lovely mum Susan were no exception. David E Williams was already there photographing Lois and her stunning bridesmaids getting ready.
With two cars worth of flowers we then made our way to St. Elizabeths, Ministeracres to decorate the church. Lois had chosen absolutely beautiful Cafe au Lait Dahlia's to line the aisle on the pew ends and a beautiful display above the door of the church.
Once we were all set up at the church we headed over to Derwent Manor to meet with Groom Lee and his Groomsman and hand over the buttonholes. We then set up the Allensford Suite ready for the Wedding Breakfast.
Lois wanted tall designs that made a statement on every other table and smaller designs elsewhere. The top table was a selection of vases and flowers.
Thankfully Lois and Lee's day went perfectly and they loved their Peony and Gold Floral Design. Lois and her mum sent us such wonderful reviews after the big day and the images from David E Williams afterwards were simply stunning.
